ASU academic calendar
Please familiarize yourself with ASU's academic calendar. Most importantly, familiarize yourself with the add, drop, and withdrawal deadlines, as well as the tuition refund deadlines.
Changing your schedule
Making changes to your schedule may have serious ramifications on your funding, financial aid, and more. In addition, withdrawing from a course after the add/drop deadline results in a 'W' on your transcript. Avoid potential problems by enrolling and finalizing your schedule in advance of these deadlines. This includes making adjustments to your research credit hours. The academic calendar also outlines holidays, class start and end dates, and more.
Graduation deadlines
Planning to defend and/or graduate this semester? In order to be eligible for graduation, you must adhere to the deadlines outlined in the calendar linked below. Keep in mind you must apply for graduation from your My ASU page in addition to scheduling your defense if enrolled in a program with a thesis or dissertation requirement. After applying for graduation, you will then have the option to RSVP to attend graduation ceremonies, if desired. Please note that there are deadlines for scheduling and holding oral defenses of theses and dissertations that must be followed as well.
